A veterinarian has the role to assist domestic and wild animals, making diagnostics, surgeries, besides taking care of nutrition and health of these small creatures. Loving animals does not necessarily indicate the right career for you. Of course, the affection with animals is essential, but you need to like care in bad situations, do not let your feelings 

affect you. 
The Veterinary Medicine course is the Bachelor type and lasts about five years. Some of the best universities in Brazil are USP, Unesp and UFMG.

There are several possible specialties. So, you can choose if you want to work with small or large animals, aquatic or terrestrial animals, wild animals, among others.
